$SPX & $QQQ

Quiet tape, loud vol. SPY is dead flat at 776 and QQQ is up 0.19%, but DIA is off 0.34% and IWM is down 0.35%. VIX is the tell, bid up 5.68% to 15. When the indexes go nowhere and protection still gets paid, somebody is hedging into this week.

It's a rotation story. Tech is holding the tape up while the cyclical and small cap side leaks, and nobody wants to lean hard ahead of big-box retail earnings and Fed minutes on Wednesday. SPY is sitting right on the 775 Put Wall with the Call Wall at 780, so we're boxed in until one of those goes. QQQ has the wider range, 720 to 740, which is why tech gets room to run while everything else chops.

Macro is light today. Empire State Manufacturing already hit at 8:30, NAHB Housing at 10. The real risk is Wednesday when the Fed minutes drop.

Let's have a sesh.
