Market Calendar

$SPX & $QQQ

Payrolls whiffed hard and the tape loves it. The economy shed 23K jobs in July against an 80K estimate, June got revised down to just 20K, and unemployment still fell to 4.1%. Soft wages too. The market is reading all of it as rate cut fuel: QQQ up 0.85% premarket, SPY up 0.40%, VIX sinking under 15.1. Risk is getting bid before the cash open.

This is the bad news is good news playbook. A shrinking labor market with a Fed that has gone quiet means the street is front-running cuts, and tech is where that bid concentrates. QQQ is already trading through the 720 Call Wall premarket with the gap sitting just under it, so dealers may have to chase if the open holds. SPX closed right on the 7700 Put Wall with the Call Wall up at 7750. Hold 7700 and the path of least resistance stays higher, lose it and this morning's pop was a headfake.

NFP was the main event and it already hit. The rest of the macro day is light: Barkin speaks at 10, consumer credit at 3.

Let's have a sesh.

You read the morning analysis. Blu reads the same notes, then he watches the real-time flow confirm the setups and stacks payouts toward a $100K month. That's the difference between reading about the move and being in it.
