Quiet, green tape heading into the open. SPY +0.44% and QQQ +0.44%, moving in lockstep. VIX is barely awake, +0.24% and still parked under 17.

This is a pre-holiday Friday. Cash markets are closed Monday for Memorial Day, so volume thins out and plenty of desks are squaring up before the long weekend. The breadth is the tell: Dow leading, small-caps participating, everything green together. We'll see if the bid holds through what's likely a sleepy summer session.

Macro day is light. Consumer Sentiment final and Leading Economic Indicators, both at 10.
