After the historical 530-point day for the S&P on Wednesday, no one really cared about the deflation prints from CPI yesterday or the producer price index this morning.
This market is all about tariffs and recession.
I’ve been getting feedback from our student traders that this environment hasn’t been very friendly to them, and I’ve gotta take a step back and acknowledge that. Sometimes, in the euphoria of a wild, violent market, we forget that trading with $VIX this high isn’t easy for smaller accounts or traders still in the learning process.
So if you’re reading this and struggling too, don’t let it take over your emotions or your decision-making. It’s totally okay to step aside and wait for things to settle. There will be more markets like this in the future—and by then, you’ll have the knowledge and risk capital to step in with an edge.
The markets will always be here. So survive.
